JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO: Production Manager

POSITION TYPE: Full-time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties could include, but may not be limited to:
• Identifies opportunity to improve the operation and maintenance of various equipment and production systems and informs management.
• Supports company objectives of improving facility safety, product quality & manufacturing productivity while reducing costs.
• Repair of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the brewery.
• Maintains various types of plant equipment by performing predictive maintenance work, preventative maintenance work, troubleshooting and machine repairs in a timely manner.
• Assist with installation of new, used and repaired equipment throughout the brewery.
• Performs repairs, taking responsibility and ownership of the repair to see the job completion within time demands.
• Complete all required documentation including work orders, parts sign-outs, requisitions and quality sign off sheets.
• Fabricate and weld any required items
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Train and support staff on equipment upgrades, repairs, PM’s, projects, etc.
• Overhaul packaging and brewing equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Good Brewing Practices (GBP).
• Other tasks as assigned management that may be required to ensure the continued success of the company.
• Responsible for working in a safe and effective manner in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, company and facility health and safety, fire, environmental, quality and general ordinances/policies
• May serve as a backup operator in the bottle house to cover absences.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION DESIRED
Ideal candidate must have previous job experience, preferably in either a production or brewing environment, and would have the following qualifications:
• Excellent mechanical/electrical/electronics aptitude
• Knowledge of tools and machinery – including experience with pumps, valves, packaging machinery and PLC operation.
• Strong work ethics, and the ability to work effectively as a team, but also able to work efficiently alone.
• Basic Computer skills
• Practice with processing or high-speed packaging on a continuous production line.
• Experience of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Capability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and controls
• Boiler license
• Strong Computer expertise
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Forklift certified
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Flexible to meet the seasonal production needs.
• Experience in brewing a plus

JOB TITLE: Bottle House Machine Operator
REPORTS TO: Production Manager

POSITION TYPE: Full-time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties could include, but may not be limited to:
• Safely and efficiently operate packaging equipment (de-palletizer, filler, labeler, drop-packer, cardboard erectors, palletizer, etc.) to ensure a consistent and high quality finished product.
• Cross train on all packaging equipment and possibly rotate positions
• Troubleshoot machinery during operation
• Manage quality control on all machine applications
• Maintain quality control of product leaving designated machine
• Verify daily packaging schedule prior to start-up
• Clean machines at the end of the packaging run
• Drive forklifts in a safe and efficient manner; may need to supply packaging line and keg line with materials
• Rotate all stock (first in-first –out)
• Maintain warehouse/work area cleanliness and organization
• Openly communicate ideas and suggestions for improvements
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required and assigned
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate, which would include overtime
• Wear proper safety equipment

JOB TITLE: North and South Dakota Distributor Sales Manager

REPORTS TO: VP of Sales and Marketing

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried Exempt

This position will secure new business in the Dakotas via direct sales and further develop existing business via promotional execution and merchandising activities of the assigned distribution network. Competitive salary, bonus structure, car allowance, medical/dental insurance, 401k and other benefits are available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understanding brand programming and communicating to distributors, specifically provide expertise and communication/leadership on portfolio management strategies, brand priorities, sales strategies, go-to-market pricing strategies and chain selling execution
• Monthly forecasting of beer orders and ensure distributor partner places correct orders on time
• Ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs and materials for the entire portfolio
• Motivate distributor sales force to achieve sales objectives
• Development of weekly/monthly/trimester/annual plan and active in-market implementation/execution/evaluation
• Use VIP reports to maintain knowledge of current sales trends and inventory
• Conduct trimester meetings with distributor partners to ensure sales goals are met
• Conduct thorough ROI analysis on all sales/promotional programs
• Work with the National Account Manager to assure our National/Local chain programs get tracked, communicated, executed and the results are measured.
• Achieve and Maintain ASBC retail standards while adhering to ASBC marketing and overall company visions.
• Ensure quality standards for ASBC brands are understood and maintained by distributors for best possible freshness to consumers.
• Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores)
• Identify accounts that are not being penetrated with ASBC products and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
• Accountable for analysis, segmentation and development of target account list for ASBC brands-implement a strategy to succeed within assigned distributors
• Conduct wait-staff / bartender educations, beer tastings and beer dinners
• Ensure proper merchandising of on- and off-premise accounts
• Plan and execute on-premise promotions as required (note: evenings; weekend festivals) 
• Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both on and off-premise.
• Execute ASBC retail standards and ensure distributor compliance to standard
• Be responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materials
• Collect data (e.g. pricing, distribution) as required
• Compile and submit reports required for the sales division
• Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines
• Track and monitor progress in all identified accounts
• Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beverages

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN 

Overview: A Laboratory Technician is responsible for all in-process testing of required samples. The Quality Manager will prepare a list of samples with testing requirements. The Lab Technician will take great care in handling the samples, accurately performing assays, and timely data submission.

Hours: Varies, 40-45 hours per week, 5 days a week, must be available to work Saturday or Sunday

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be mobile and able to maneuver up and down several flights of grated steps.

Responsibilities:

  • ATP Swab to ensure cleanliness.
  • Calibrate various laboratory instruments and ensure calibration is maintained throughout the day by running check samples.
  • Do dishes and maintain a very clean laboratory work environment.
  • Run autoclave, as needed, throughout the day. Make sure there are sufficient sterile dishes to perform daily tasks.
  • Prepare media per media recipes. Pour media plates, as needed.
  • Collect samples throughout the brewery. Ensure all samples have been collected and/or delivered, and all required testing has been performed, daily.
  • Perform microbial testing on daily samples. This includes membrane filtering, swabbing, various plating techniques, and Petrifilm plating.
  • Read plates and phenotype samples using microscopy and staining techniques.
  • Perform quality control tests throughout the brewery including pasteurizer testing, seam checks on cans, bottle torque tests, fill volume checks, etc.
  • Perform daily sensory analysis on beer.
  • Perform various analytical analyses on beer and wort samples. Preference given to those who have experience with wet chemistry techniques, spectrophotometric assays, GC, and PCR.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary laboratory environment. The lab is used for micro analysis as well as chemical analysis. Sterility is very important!
  • Data Entry.

Additional Skills:

  • Exhibit superior communication skills. Must be able to work in a team setting and independently on assigned projects.
  • Applicant must exhibit the following personal attributes: great at multitasking, a sense of urgency, work efficiently and effectively, good moral conduct and honest.
  • Experience in a production setting adhering to GLP and GMP.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preference will be given to those with Microbiology or Chemistry degrees.
  • 1-2 years laboratory experience.
  • Brewery experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer and the brewing industry.
