Awards
The August Schell Brewery competed in the 2009 U. S. Open Beer Championship held in Atalanta, GA, and took home six medals! Receiving Gold Medals were Deer Brand Original in the American Cream Ale category, Hefeweizen for German Hefeweizen, Pilsner for German Lager/Pilsner, and Zommerfest for German Kölsch. Schell's Stout received a Silver Medal in the Stout Category, and Maifest received a Bronze Medal in the Bock Category. Schell's Brewery also placed 4th in the top 10 U. S. Breweries.
